Hello curious reader!
Well, here I am in all of my emerging from Canadian winter hibernation glory.
Pretty sure that is gesso on the back of my pant leg. I get it in my hair too and it doesn’t come out for at least a few days. #artlife
I know my angles. Straight on is not one of them at the moment!
I am posting these because that will be changing over the course of the next month or two. That’s really all of the time that it takes for me to be back in fighting shape. I am currently165 pounds and just under six feet tall (5’11 and a teeny bit, most of it leg).
My goal weight for now is 150, ideally 145 which, considering that I am two inches taller than her, would have me in similar dimensions to Tyra when she did the Sports Illustrated cover..!
I’ve never been big on numbers and I think that most women come to learn that the scale is not our friend! This is just a rough guideline for me. I’m releasing anything that is keeping me back from looking and feeling my best. (affirmation!)
The goal I’ve chosen is what looks natural and comes easily to my body type when I’m living an active lifestyle. I have been much less active than I have ever been for the past year due to my debilitating skin condition. That might sound ridiculous, but I have pictures of what I went through, to help you understand. That will come in time..
I have never been able to do a pushup in my life but J says he can have me doing 20 in one month. I am more than up for it. My fitness plan involves spinning, running, infrared sauna, yoga, hiking and hoop dance. Minimum of four times a week.
We got tickets to what will be our second Burn (pics are from 2011) and the highest self I like to express in the desert is one who abhors clothing, I think. Can you think of any better motivation??? I plan to play up the Mad Max look this year. Post apocalyptic waterworld fantasy garb.
And lots of stuff from Gelareh.
I also had a nude day or two at my first burn! It’s actually not too big a deal for me, really. If you wait until the end of the week, most people’s cell phones have died, so you’re less likely to end up on Instagram. The sun on one’s entire body is very therapeutic. Moonlight is also. But not in the desert, it’s much too cold.
Unless we’re talking about Death Valley where I once laid on the still steaming highway at midnight and got engulfed by a massive blanket of stars. It it 40 degrees there even at night.
There will be more pictures of my progress here in a month!
I am working on a huge, amazing project at the moment. It is so true that when you leave your job, you find your Work.
Thanks for reading!
I have a new video coming out soon :)
